Help improve Atlas Obscura by expanding Lucy and Desi Museum with additional information or photos.
This museum honors the life and legacy of comedic actress Lucille Ball.
Lucille Ball was born in Jamestown, New York, and the museum contains original memorabilia, costumes, props, and recreations of the I Love Lucy Lucy sets. The town also boasts several large mural paintings throughout.
Jamestown is a paradise for fans of the show. In addition to the large museum and murals, there are more Lucy-related sites to visit including her childhood home in nearby Celeron, NY, her final resting place, and the bronze statue that was erected in her honor.
Know Before You Go
Although the museum is open seven days a week, Jamestown is a small, industrial-era town, so visiting on a Sunday means that much of the town will be closed.
