The Skyway is a great activity for kids and for those ready to take walk up and down a long ramp.  Taking the long ramp up and down is not required as there are benches for waiting for the more active members of your group.

After passing the admission booth, there is an elevated boardwalk with some fun activities and great views of trees up close.  Be on the lookout for sculptures of local animals hiding along the way.  The boardwalk connects to the Skyway ramp where one can head up the ramp to the sky or head down for food and restrooms.

Going up, each spiral of the extra-wide Skyway ramp is just a bit wider that the one below, making this an easy and gentle hike to the top.  Stop along the way up to see the top of the trees, enjoy the ever higher views, rest on a bench or look over the inside and watch folks coming out of the slide.

Once at the top, children and brave adults can walk out onto a netting over the gaping hole in the middle of the ramp.  On the way back down take the slide for a quick trip to the bottom of the ramp.  Make sure you scream all the way down to encourage those waiting line.

Once at the bottom, go back up for as many times as you want.

There are chairs and benches at the bottom to rest or to enjoy the water views.  The food stalls should have something for most people.

Know Before You Go

There is a free shuttle from downtown Victoria for the 40 minute ride to and from the Skywalk.  Check the website for the schedule and for driving directions.

The road to the parking lot is steep.  Check it out before taking a really large RV down and back up.

Off the large parking lot is a gift shop and restrooms.
