Mercado Modelo is a handicraft market located in the city of Salvador, state of Bahia, Brazil. Located in the Commerce district, one of the oldest and most traditional shopping areas of Salvador and Brazil. It constitutes an important tourist attraction, visited by 80% of the tourists of the city. Facing the Bay of All Saints, it is close to the Lacerda Elevator and the Historic Center (which includes the Pelourinho). In architecture of the neoclassical style, the building is registered by the Institute of the Historical and Artistic Patrimony National (IPHAN).
