The walk seems almost eerie, but the only real threat here are the rocks and waves.   noneil777 / Atlas Obscura User
Angel Ring, this reminder commemorates the death of Andrew Cho who fell from the rocks while fishing.   noneil777 / Atlas Obscura User
Be careful here, the cliffs may be high from the water, but often freak waves can crash over the rocks.   noneil777 / Atlas Obscura User

About

A hidden gem about a 30-minute walk from the quiet little town of Currarong on the Beecroft Peninsula, the Mermaid Inlet and surrounding landmarks are well worth the trek. The seaside cliffs are an epic sight, while nearby you can find Gosangs Tunnel, the wreckage of an old ship, a lighthouse, and wildlife and abundance along the way. Locals, hikers, and fisher-folk seem to be the only people you will see in this overlooked place.

Know Before You Go

Start the walk by parking in the car park that is found at the end of Beecroft Parade. Warning: Swells are unpredictable and waves can go over the rocks, be cautious at all times. Be sure to keep the area nice by not leaving behind rubbish.
