Morongo Basin Historical Museum

Unique attractions include The Moharve Mercantile, a vintage-style grocery store brimming with cowboy movie memorabilia. Visitors can explore at their own pace with self-guided tours or engage with friendly volunteer docents, who share fascinating tales of desert life—including stories about the Landers Turtle races, or the UFO Conventions at Giant Rock. Other highlights include exhibits honoring veterans, natural history and an authentic midcentury modern kitchen.
