This quirky charm from the 1980s garnered its nickname from a dark history of untimely deaths occurring nearby. Two fatal shootings took place in the parking lot, followed by the discovery of a corpse. Another fatal shooting occurred inside the Ford Factory Lofts, which shares the same parking lot. All occurring from 1991-2012. 

Kroger reopened a new store in October of 2019 at the same location in hopes of ridding the nickname. However, it’s not easy to shed such a history. This icon has its own Facebook page, Wikipedia entry, theme song, and float in the Little 5 Points Halloween Festival and Parade. 

Know Before You Go

Murder Kroger is located along the Atlanta Beltline, right across from Ponce City Market. Parking is available for those driving.
