New Jersey State Police Museum
Examine the ransom notes from the infamous Lindbergh baby kidnapping and other artifacts from the annals of the New Jersey State Police.
Established in 1921 the New Jersey State Police have been involved in a number of internationally known investigations, including the original “Crime of the 20th Century” - The Lindbergh Kidnapping. The museum highlights all of the evidence in that case, as well as several others including their role in responding to the September 11 attacks.
Additionally, the museum houses police cars from early in the service to current vehicles as well interactive exhibits showcasing the improvements in investigations.
Know Before You Go
The museum is located on the NJ State Police Headquarters campus thus you need to stop at the guard house, show your ID and get a visitor's pass. Drive up to the road and turn toward your right. This is the parking lot. There is ton of parking (for buses too). The museum is located in the log cabin building. There is no cost for the museum. The museum is closed weekends and the gift shop is in the parking lot.
