Old Texas Town Berlin
Once you enter the Old Texas Town you are among settlers in Texas in the year 1865.
Soon after you have entered the gates through the 7.5 metres tall wooden fence you will realise that this is not just another theme park or movie set.
This is serious stuff made by people who are dedicated to their hobby. Every single detail is laid out and maintained by the very well organised Texas 1865 history fans.
The town museum is dedicated the American Civil War 1861 - 1865 with a lot of original items on display.
The club behind Old Texas Town
The Cowboy Club Old Texas Town Berlin 1950 e.V. started - despite its name - back in the 1930’ies, but could not get formally founded until 1950.
The members of the club started building Old Texas Town in the late 1960’ies and the town now consists of bank, jail, bar, blockhouse, museum and a 1:1 model of Fort Alamo.
Mary’s Saloon
Like anywhere else in the wild west you will find a waterhole where you need it. Mary’s Saloon is the local space that seats 180 guests.
Open every first Saturday of the month from March till December. Bar, music, dance, talk and laughter.
Just like the old days.
