Oslo Iron Roses – - Atlas Obscura

On July 22, 2011, two neo-Nazi terrorists killed 77 persons in premeditated attacks. The first was a bomb car in Oslo city center, and the second happened two hours later, on the island of Utøya, where the ruling Labour party was having a youth summer camp.

After the tragedy, thousands of Norwegians went to the streets, marching against violence and leaving millions of roses at the doors of the Oslo Cathedral.

Tobbe Malm, an artist, initiate a project to rise a memorial in the local. A flowerbed of iron roses forged by survivors and relatives of this massacre is placed near the cathedral.
