Imagine walking through regal rooms with lush padded carpets while being surrounded by the sound of 302 clocks passing the seconds. Each room is themed on different clock styles and all the clocks, from small wall clocks to tall grandfather clocks, are working. The times are offset so that they don’t all strike at once with the result that throughout the tour you will hear multiple clocks mark the hour.

Although perhaps only rumor, the guide said that these clocks were taken from a leading family in Spain in retribution for fraud they committed against the state. The clocks had been collected by this family in multiple auction lots. Apparently this family (unnamed by the guide) still exists and operates in Jerez de la Frontera without much moral improvement.
