This small train has been taking visitors around Großer Garten since 1950.
During the approximately 30-minute ride on the three-mile (six-kilometer) route, visitors witness the loveliest corners of the 363-acre Great Garden including a view of the Grand Garden Palace.
Weather permitting, the “Moritz” steam locomotive runs on weekends and public holidays. During the week, the two electric accumulator locomotives transport the passengers.
There are five train stations along the route. The park railway runs from April to October, from Wednesday to Sunday. The trains run at an interval of 15 to 30 minutes.
