Parque de Las Palomas – - Atlas Obscura

At Parque de Las Palomas or Dove Park, you can find a fun activity for kids of all ages. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of pigeons that live in the grottos along the wall and surrounding areas of this little plaza.

During normal daytime hours, there will be a local business man sitting outside the entrance that will sell you bags of feed for a dollar. Then you can get to work. Simply put the feed in your hands, and watch the show. The pigeons know exactly what to do. These birds will land on your arms, head, and anything else that looks like a perch and peck the feed out of your hand.

As long as you are not afraid of birds, you will have a great time enjoying this unique experience in a tropical paradise.

Tip: Make sure to keep the bag closed while you are standing by or the birds will liberate their food from it without your permission.
