We hired a driver to take us to the nearby salt mines.  Enroute, he pointed out the former site of the Plaszow Concentration Camp.  Long gone, it’s now a grassy knoll with a striking sculpture, and markers memorializing those once imprisoned there.  We stopped to visit on the way back to Krakow.
