A huge market aimed at cooks and restauranteurs is also known as the kitchen of Japan.
Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street is colloquially known as the kitchen of Japan because of the sheer amount of cooking and restaurant supplies that can be found here.
Dozens of little shops like the street, each specializing in a little niche. Some sell uniforms, aprons and hats of the type that you will see in many restaurants around Japan, while others focus on bowls and utensils, kitchen knives, noren curtains, takoyaki machines, noodle makers, and much much more.
It is a great visit for any cooking fanatic who always wanted one (or more) specific things for their kitchen, and there is something to find for every price class. Just make sure it fits in your luggage!
