Smither Park

Next door to the Orange Show is Smither Park, a community art installation. As of August 2013, it is still under construction. A meditation area, grotto, serpentine tunnel and swings are planned for the park. Construction is ongoing at the memory wall that lines the back of the park. The wall is divvied up among local artists who are free to decorate their section however they want. The park is named in honor of John Smither, a folk art enthusiast and former board member of the Orange Show Center.
