Sonnenborgh Observatory

A historic observatory now an astronomy museum beautifully situated at the edge of town. 

This old solar and star observatory is now a museum at the edge of the city centre. It is situated in the most beautiful area of the canals and the surrounding park. Founded in the 16th century in what was a former bastion, the museum now holds the remains of meteorite and is the oldest copula observatory in the Netherlands.

Easy accesible by foot from the city centre. About a fifteen minute walk from Central Station.
