St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park is a great place to stop when traveling by land from northeast Belize to the south-western stretches of the country. This picturesque location contains a massive, almost perfectly circular swimming hole fed by an underground stream. The water is so fresh and clean you can drink it, as it’s essentially a massive spring. There are tons of friendly fish in the water that love to dine on fresh fruit.  The park is also home to around 200 bird species.

Know Before You Go

There are lots of mosquitos in the area, however, repellent and sunscreen are discouraged as it pollutes the water.
