About

The Street of the Knights is a historic cobblestone pathway located in the Old Town of Rhodes, Greece. The street is a beautiful showcase of Gothic architecture, featuring towering stone buildings adorned with intricate carvings and ornate facades.

The street was once home to the Knights of St. John, a religious and military order who occupied Rhodes during the Middle Ages. One of the most prominent buildings on the street is the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, which was built in the 14th century and features a beautiful courtyard and impressive towers.

Other notable buildings include the Hospital of the Knights, which now houses the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes, and the Inns of the Tongues, which were once the lodgings of the different languages spoken by the knights.

Visitors to the Street of the Knights can admire the intricate carvings and ornate facades of these historic buildings, and imagine what life was like for the knights who once occupied them. The Street of the Knights is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Rhodes and offers a fascinating glimpse into the island's rich history.
