The afsluitdijk (English: Closure Dike)is a mayor causeway in the Netherlands.
It was constructed between 1927 and 1932 and it runs from Den Oever on Wieringen in North Holland province, to the village of Zurich in Friesland province It is 32 km long, 90m in with and 7,25m above sea-level.
