Built by the City of Orlando in the mid 1980’s, Orlando Wetlands Park is 1,650 acres for bird-watching, hiking, jogging, bicycling, nature photography and water reclamation. It is one of the very few places to find the Black Bellied Whistling Tree Duck in Florida, and has large populations of White-Tailed Deer and the American Alligator. The Orlando Wetlands Park has over 20 miles of trails and roads that wind around the wetlands and through nearby woods.
The Park is not open to vehicular traffic.
