The tallest Uncle Sam statue in the world – Danbury, Connecticut - Atlas Obscura

In the 1960s, the construction of this colossal Uncle Sam statue took place, specifically for an Ohio restaurant bearing the same name. Following the restaurant’s closure in 1971, the statue was relocated to the Danbury State Fairgrounds, where it remained until 1981. Subsequently, it was moved to the Magic Forest Park in Lake George, New York, where it stood tall for 37 years.

Uncle Sam made a grand return to Connecticut after Magic Forest closed its doors in late 2018, and the statue got a nice scrub down before taking a chill spot by the Danbury Railway Museum. The plan was to place him near I-84, but that changed and in 2019 he found his new home
