The Tridge
The Tridge is a three-way wooden footbridge spanning the confluence of the Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers in Chippewassee Park near downtown Midland, Michigan.
A Tridge is the formal name for a three legged bridge. This wooden footbridge was opened in 1981 at the cost of $972,000 to build. It is one of Midland’s largest tourist attractions where people from all over come to see it.
The Tridge was renovated in 2017 where re-staining was completed and the original wood decking was replace, along with a programmable color-changing LED light system being installed. The cost of the renovation was $2.7 million to complete.
Know Before You Go
There are three streets you can take to access the Tridge.
Take the One Way Ashman Street S/W to the circle where is meets Wyman Street, Golfside Drive, or Crissey Street where it meets Towsley Street.
