The US Bicycling Hall of Fame serves up all manner of bicycle spirits, both past, and present.

The museum pays tribute to America’s great cyclists. The first non-European to win the Tour de France and Northern California celebrity, Greg LeMond is represented. Marshal “Major” Taylor, still one of the great sprint racers of all time more than 100 years after breaking sprint track records also has a prominent display, along with Marianne Martin, the first woman to win the Tour de France.

Those not interested in sports will find treasures that remind them of their youth, such as a tricked-out Stingray on display. There are also a few oddities, including a collapsible bicycle built for two, in which riders pedaled side by side instead of in tandem. It‘s a head-scratcher as to how that feat was accomplished.
