Built by a Gilded Age philanthropist as a winter getaway, Warden Castle houses much of the original collection of Robert Ripley’s “Believe it or Not!” artifacts as his first permanent “Oddititorium”. It served as the home of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, Author of “The Yearling”. It was the site of two deaths in 1944 after a fire that started under mysterious circumstances. The parking lot of the Castle has seen numerous world records accomplished for the Ripley’s Believe it or Not! TV show.
