If your interests are hiking, exploring, taking excursions, and seeing historical sites then April, May, early June, late September, October, and November are the best months. Great beaches, a relaxed vibe, cheap hotels , and there’s even a water park. We initially planned to stay all 6 nights in Firostefani on Santorini. such a good point However, Crete is appealing given our pursuits beneath and typical day . We really want lovely seashores, scenic seaside towns, nice food, and once we get there, simple.

Besides being known for it’s attractive seashores with crystal clear our bodies of water and picturesque views, the island can also be known for it’s dainty villages and historical locations. Wander round and take a look at the fascinating stone homes and narrow streets in Keri Village, Argos Leon, and Volimes Village. I don’t thoughts somewhat schlepping, as it's a part of the adventure. The island of Zante is open for business from May until the tip of October and is right for household summer season holidays or May or October half time period breaks.
We’ve learn recommendations that it's more of a bundle holiday vacation spot like resorts along Northern Crete which we didn’t enjoy being around. We are planning to come back again firstly of September for two weeks to visit completely different islands for some seaside and solar. To give you some background, we loved Santorini, Milos and the quieter / smaller locations in Crete .
