Ed Simon is a Ph.D. candidate in the English department of Lehigh University. He is interested in religion and literature in the 17th and 18th-century Atlantic world, and the ways in which early modern geographic thinking was informed by religious thought. He has been published or has work forthcoming in a number of academic and popular venues, including The Revealer, Religion Dispatches, Killing the Buddha, Jacobin, Berfrois, The Public Domain Review, The Atlantic and The Paris Review Daily among several other sites.
