This tour is fairly active; travelers should be reasonably fit and feel comfortable walking 4 to 6 miles each day and remaining on their feet for long periods of time. Many parts of the tour involve cobblestone, dirt paths, and other uneven ground, as well as tight stone stairwells in castle and church towers.
For flights in and out of Bucharest's Henri Coandă International Airport, we suggest you arrive by 4 p.m. on Day 1, and depart anytime in the morning on Day 11.
