I grew up in the small but famous town of Woodstock, NY, then got bit by the travel bug and spent about ten years continent hopping between North America (DC, Florida, NY), Central America (Nicaragua), and the Middle East (Cairo, Haifa). Currently putting down some roots in Brooklyn, where I'm a newly minted NYC tour guide, and taking the occasional international trip when I get the itch. By day, I work on destination marketing campaigns here at Atlas Obscura.
