What We’ll Do

In this three-part lecture series, explore the art and science of memory and learn memorization techniques you can employ in everyday life.

Course Description

Join USA Memory Champion, bestselling author of Moonwalking with Einstein, and Atlas Obscura co-founder Joshua Foer, for an in-depth exploration of the ancient art of remembering. Over the course of three unforgettable sessions, you’ll trace the history of memory-building techniques stretching back to antiquity and learn about competitive memorization as it exists today. Along the way, Joshua will walk you through several tricks you can employ in everyday life—from methods for memorizing names and numbers to championship-level techniques for committing large amounts of information to memory.
