What We’ll Do

Particle physicist Daniel Whiteson and PHD Comics creator Jorge Cham (hosts of the popular science podcast “Daniel and Jorge Explain The Universe”) team up to explain everything we DON'T know about the Universe, from Dark Matter to ghost particles and the Big Bang. Live-drawn cartoons are paired with clear and entertaining explanations make the big mysteries of the Universe accessible to everyone from 9 to 999 years old. This event is perfect for anyone who's curious about science and all the big questions we still haven't answered.

In the inaugural edition of The Unknown Universe, Explained, Daniel and Jorge tackle what we DON'T know about the universe! Humanity's understanding of the physical world is full of gaps. Not tiny little gaps you can safely ignore —there are huge yawning voids in our basic notions of how the world works. For example, most of the matter in the Universe is not the kind that makes up you and me and hamsters, but something else invisible and weird. If that’s not crazy enough, most of the energy in the Universe is not in stars or black holes or any kind of matter, but in some recently-discovered cosmic force that’s tearing the Universe apart. Learn about everything we don’t know about the Universe!
