About

Constructed during the 1940s, this historical building was used to house important visitors and generals during the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge and was known as the Guest House. Later, the World War II-era building received a 44-room expansion and became known as the Alexander Inn. Since then, the hotel has been added to the National Register of Historic Places.

In the 1990s, the building was abandoned and fell into serious disrepair. Today, the building has been renovated and turned into a senior living facility.
