Faery Cave is completely untamed, located along a path with no kiosks, signs, or flattened walkways. The cave’s entrance is 15 feet wide and six feet high, with a total depth of around 30 feet. Around 15 feet in, the cave narrows and the ceiling drops, but it’s still easily traversable with a little hunching down.

At the end of the cave, visitors will find a small room that may be possible to enter. This small chamber is where Lenape Indian artifacts were uncovered during a 1936 excavation. The cave then cuts to the right and becomes two narrow upward shafts.

Caution should always be used when traversing the cave.

Know Before You Go

The cave is on a much longer hiking loop through Jenny Jump, but there is parking availability on dirt and a very bumpy lot at Ghost Pond. Look towards the woods from the lot at the edge of the pond, there is a faint but visible path entrance.

From there, it is a leisurely but rocky 4-minute hike along the waterline. The cave opening will be visible to the right and up a short incline of rock.
