About

Quite possibly, owning a piece of Disney history is every Disney fan’s dream, and there is an ever-growing market for such items as production drawings from animated classics and props used in Disney parks. That said, it’s rather difficult to come by such artifacts outside of high-cost auctions, while fakes are not uncommon online.

Located about 35 miles away from Walt Disney World, the Lakeland antique mall is one of the foremost dealers of Disney props in the world, with several of its vendors offering authentic pieces of Disney World acquired directly from the resort. Many of them come from Property Control, a secret store exclusive to Disney World cast members, where out-of-season merchandise and disused props are sold.

The mall's 44,000 square feet of space is filled with antiques dealt by over 250 professional vendors. Among the usual fare of vintage collectibles, however, there is a plethora of Disney-related items that one can't possibly find in other antique shops. There are decorative props such as artificial fruits or Christmas ornaments, hotel furniture, and cast member costumes, coming from all over Disney World.

In addition to all that, some vendors also offer cast member-exclusive merch, rare Disney pins, vintage Mickey Mouse collectibles from the 1930s, as well as props from Universal Studios Florida. It offers a fascinating shopping experience, even if you're not a huge Disney fan or antique collector.
