This terrestrial Lighthouse serves as a lookout tower and the Museum of Jara Cimrman, which is is a Czech fictional character of a universal genius. He was created in 1966 by Karel Velebný, Jiří Šebánek and Zdeněk Svěrák.

Cimrman is presented as one of the greatest Czech universal geniuses, writers, philosophers, playwrights, poets, composers, teachers, travellers, inventors, detectives, mathematicians, amateur obstetricians and sportsmen of the 19th and early 20th century. Playing the game on his real existence is part of his characterization.

In the museum you can see Cimrman’s inventions such as: curved scissors for cutting all the nails at once, handsaw that has animal teeth, plate with sink-plug, bicycle handlebar from corners, Cimrman’s formless bust, glasses with spines for faquir, broom-spear (in Czech “koštěp”: koště (broom) + oštěp (spear)), …
