Mobile Medical Museum
Medical museum featuring a number of excellent medical models.
The Mobile Medical Museum houses the largest medical collection in the Southeast, displaying 200 years of the medically obsolete, the primitive and the innovative, the bizarre and the commonplace–all of which contributed, in small or large ways, to modern medicine.
One of most the interesting items on display is the larger-than-life anatomical model for the Medical College of Mobile and the painstakingly accurate papier-maché model of the autonomic nervous system, copied from an 1854 Hirschfeld atlas.
