The Chairy Orchard is a unique place in the middle of the suburbs of Denton, Texas. This punny collection was started in 2013 for no logical reason by two neighbors and longtime friends. The two women, aka the “chairy fairies,” started collecting old chairs to adorn the vacant lot between their homes. Today there are dozens of chairs of every shape and size, from rocking chairs to wheelchairs to salon chairs, and the whimsical collection is always growing, as visitors are encouraged to donate a chair when they swing by for a unique photo-op.
Know Before You Go
The Chairy Orchard is free and open to visitors from dusk to dawn. There is parking right in front. They take donations in the refrigerator on the righthand side.
