About

Located inside El Yunque National Forest, Torre Yokahú (Yokahu Tower) is a great way to get a higher point of view of this magnificent woodland. A staircase winds through the 69-foot-tall concrete tower leading to an observation deck where, on a clear day, you can see the ocean and the top of the tree canopies.

Yokahú Tower was built in 1963 at the direction of Frank H. Wadsworth, former director of the International Institute of Tropical Forestry. It sits at an elevation of 1,575 feet (480 meters), slightly lower than the park's Mount Britton Tower.
