Want to lose yourself in the lull of the ocean, amid the tentacles and oral arms of delicate, pulsating jellyfish?

This up-close live cam from the Open Sea exhibit at Monterey Bay Aquarium is like an aquatic lava lamp. Leave it open all day and feel your mind and muscles relax (unless you happen to have a jellyfish phobia—in which case, avert your eyes!)

These majestic jellyfish are called sea nettles (Chrysaora fuscescens). They catch prey by paralyzing it with their frilly arms, which are covered in stinging cells; the jellies then bring the prey up to their mouths, located under their soft hoods.

If the screen is black, the jellies are probably sleeping—the live cam is only active from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time. But if you really need to unwind when the cam is inactive, not all is lost: the Sea Nettle Jelly Cam After Hours has got you covered.
