The Brahehus Castle is located near Gränna, Sweden, in Småland. The castle was built by Count Per Brahe the Younger in the 1640s for his wife but she died before its completion. After her death it was used for tourists and parties. Now, it is a great tourist spot with a gorgeous view of lake Vättern, the third largest lake in Sweden. Many people hold picnics here or come for a day trip. 

Know Before You Go

The Brahehus Castle is close to the town of Gränna, where hotels and restaurants can be found. The castle is not close to anything else and it out in the country. Driving is the easiest way to get there, either all the way up the mountain or by parking at the bottom and hiking up.
