About

When you make it to Solitaire you soon realize both that it is very well named and also that you shouldn't be surprised to find a glimpse of Kcymaerxthaere there. Indeed, this location has both a marker and a Kcymaerxthaere Historical Site with an array of words and shapes and stories, sometimes all in one.

Kcymaerxthaere is an art project created by Eames Demetrios. A series of plaques and other markers around the world honor events that have taken place in a parallel universe that, according to Demetrios, "co-exists to some degree with ours.” Most of these installations are bronze or stone plaques inscribed with stories but some are larger, even entire buildings. As of 2021, there are more than 140 sites spread across six continents and 30 countries.

The concrete forms build on the belief of the people here in Kcymaerxthaereal times that for every word in every language ever spoken there was a dimension of existence somewhere that expressed the essence of that word.  The name of the site as a whole is quite fitting: A Sentence is an Archipelago of Words.  And the title of the marker within it? "Each and Every Word."

The person whose station this was the Sevral Acrlaat, a person who shouldered the burden of observing the universes which Kmpass, the Urgend God of Directionality, was in the habit of trying to hobble and even destroy. This sacrifice was done in utter silence, a silence which gave the community its name. And the Acrlaat was just part of the extraordinary ecosystem that developed around the habits of Kmpass. Since the Faltese, the Ocean Desert floor off the coast of what we call Namibia, was the home of Kmpass, this area was affected deeply by his battles. And, without such characters and organisms as the Sevral Acrlaat, it is likely that far fewer of the universes and islands would have been resurrected after the Battle of Some Times.

The site is on the Solitaire Country Lodge complex, right behind the gas station and is part of A Sentence is an Archipelago of Words Kcymaerxthaere Historical Site at the Corner of Road C19 and Road C14 Solitaire, Namibia.
