Born in Iowa City, moved to Kentucky a week later in a bath tub. Grew up in Missouri and moved to Los Angeles -- which I hated without having ever been. Upon finding that the real Los Angeles has thankfully nothing to do with the Los Angeles of film and television, I stayed and now write about exploring and paint neighborhood maps as Pendersleigh & Sons Cartography
