I spent three years working as a tour assistant in Greece and writing travel pieces about Athens. My Greek education included a front row seat to the crumbling economical crisis, and lots of days I waded through tear gas to get to my job. When I'd had enough, I grabbed my two favorite people and fled across the ocean to my native Houston. We did what all Greek immigrants do; we started a Greek restaurant.
Now I let them do most of the work while I paint, write, and take pictures of freeways. Greece and Turkey are still my two favorite places in the world, but I have since discovered Japan. Here comes the next adventure...
