Peter Leman is a writer and English professor living in Utah. His training is in postcolonial literary studies and law, but he also enjoys carpentry, bluegrass music, hiking, and searching for the lost remains of one of his ancestors. His first book, about law and literature in East Africa, is forthcoming from Liverpool University Press. His second book depends on whether or not he can find those lost remains. Research for his article on the Fowler & Wells crania collection was supported by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies.
