I grew up in Northern California in a small college town famous for square tomatoes and a cow that had a hole in its stomach. I've since lived in a few places around the US and Europe, and have spent a few years on the road traveling between Asia, Africa, Latin America, Australia, and beyond. My favorite souvenirs to collect while traveling are small rocks and shells, the coolest being a piece of lava from Iceland and a shiny lump of pyrite from a Gold Rush era ghost town in California. I now reside in Brooklyn with my husband and our international rock collection.
