What We’ll Do

Join Atlas Obscura and Devour Tours for an evening with Spanish chef, Arantxa Lamas, and discover the secrets of Basque culture and cuisine!

This Basque cooking class will include an introduction to Basque food history, key ingredients, and cooking techniques. You’ll discover the pillars of the Basque pantry, and cook two delicious and famous Basque dishes.

Watch and learn (or cook along!) as Arantxa demonstrates how to make a traditional Basque tuna stew called, marmitako. And for dessert, there’s burnt Basque cheesecake, made famous by the Basque pintxo bar, La Viña. You will also receive the recipes in advance (ingredients list and recipe instructions will be included in your ticket confirmation email), giving you plenty of time to prepare for this special event.

We can't wait for you to join us for this rare and delicious culinary experience!
