Ellie Clin
Ellie is a writer, scuba diver, sailor, environmental educator, and general professional vagabond. Among her bucket list accomplishments, she has sand-boarded down a volcano, kayaked in both polar oceans, and travelled to every continent by the age of thirty.
Her essays and other works of creative non-fiction have been published in Atlas Obscura, the Globe and Mail, and Explore Magazine and she is currently writing a travel memoir. "Around the World in Thirty Years" is a collection of thirty personal essays that together tell the story of a lost thirty-something searching for home everywhere but there. From a sultry affair under Greenland’s midnight sun, to an unrelenting yoga practice in India, a polar dip in Antarctic waters, and a journey to Morocco told through the lens of a camera, they are tales of hope, loss, romance, friendship, fear, and self-discovery that span all seven continents—small moments that remind us to seek out the humanity in our midst, wherever we are.
Outside of her writing studio, these days you can most commonly find her working as a guide aboard expedition vessels travelling through the Arctic and Antarctic. Follow her on Instagram @aroundtheworldin30years.
